Ento's Electricity Advisor alerted the energy managers of a supermarket chain to an unexplained spike in electricity consumption at one of their stores. Late at night, when the store was empty and all the lights were off, electricity use would inexplicably rise and stay high until morning.

Investigating the issue, they discovered an unexpected cause: the bakery employee had asked the cleaning staff to switch on the ovens before leaving at night, allowing them to run all night so they’d be ready for use when the baker arrived in the morning.
