Automatic identification of energy savings

We use advanced algorithms that learn how each building is being operated. For public building owners this is of particular interest, as many of their sites has different functions.

Because the system knows and understands how each public building is being operated, it can automatically identify assets in each building that are not operated optimally – e.g. due to increased baseload consumption or solar panels not producing the amount of power they should.

Document the effort and share the results

Our public sector customers need to be able to document the efforts made to achieve an energy-efficient operation of their property portfolio. Our platform supports energy optimization and efficiency projects, and automatically verifies and documents these directly on the platform.

We calculate energy savings based on measured consumption before and after the savings are implemented – while controlling for factors we know affects the energy consumption in the building.

How is Ento different from a traditional Energy Management System (EMS)?

The purpose of an energy management system (EMS) is to collect and visualise raw data from meters installed in buildings. Many EMS users have to spend a lot of time looking at the data or manually configuring alarms to figure out when something is not performing well.

Our solution goes a step further and adds an extra, advanced layer of analytics. We use existing main meter consumption data, which could be collected in an existing EMS or come directly from your utility or meters, and combine it with other, relevant external data such as weather data, building information, opening hours etc.

All alerts are generated automatically by our algorithms and no manual input is required. This is why we can create value within hours of sourcing your energy data.

Our services are billed on an annual basis depending on the number and types of buildings you have in your portfolio. In contrast to traditional approaches, we normally don’t charge an upfront or integration fee. Yes, our system can track and generate customised reports for different stakeholders. You can access and download various reports providing overviews of all buildings' consumption, carbon emissions, and detailed meter data on our platform under the "Reports" section.

The "Organisation Overview" report shows total energy consumption and identifies potential energy waste, while the "Verified Savings" report details registered and verified savings activities.

Additionally, you can generate specific reports for each energy source and individual meters, ensuring tailored insights for all stakeholders.

As an additional, very powerful tool, our “Verifications” tool can automatically calculate energy savings for a single building/project, for a relevant subset of buildings or an entire portfolio taking weather conditions and other variables into account using the internationally recognised IPMVP-protocol.
